Thanks for all the comments guys, havent been on this one for a while, although I have now built and painted all the cannons. Still need to paint the wheels and then give them a dark wash to fill the recesses. I used the 5mm square woodstrip to make sure all the barrels were the right height for the gunports. I will be leaving the barrels unpainted, more soon Cheers Steve stevie_o attached the following image(s):

A small update at long last The first pic is just to show the nice colour the copper has taken after a few months, I havent yet treated this with any kind of sealer so it's still an option to polish this again after fitting the rudder to get an even finish. I have also fitted all the eyelets to the bulwarks, painted the carriage wheels and dipped each complete gun in a thin panel wash for a bit of grime. I have also added 8 additional guns downstairs. The good thing is you can see more of these because the gunports are closed on that row. More soon hopefully Steve stevie_o attached the following image(s):

Fabulous work Steve, your usual impressive standards.... Love the colour the copper plates have taken, I'd just seal them now and not polish... Look forward to your next update.... Regards Alan
