Hi guys,
i finally found some time to finish the next shipment.
Fitting the two cables into the connector was quite challenging!!

The opening-mechanism for the smoke-box-door sits very loose - but i guess, there`s nothing i can do about that?

Thanks for looking in!

So pleased to see you enjoying this build as much as I am. It really is a great model.

Looking at your pictures you are one pack ahead of me so I have the main boiler parts to look forward too next month Love

Hope the rest of your build goes well.

Happy Modelling

Well guys - i´m afraid i had not my best day of model-building yesterday.
All went well at first when fitting the sand pipes and the little brackets.
But as i worked on the opposite side, the brackets came loose again and then i spilled super glue all over the boiler.

Well the damage is done - maybe i will have to paint now.

Hi DaDokta

Sorry to hear about your mishap, its a little late now but you could have tried using Locktite's super glue remover gel to remove the offending excess glue,

http://www.ebay.co.uk/sc...emover+gel&_sacat=0

I have used it a few times now but mostly on etch parts and it works if left over night. One other thing to watch is that the sand pipes may need a little adjustment to fit into the channels in the side walkways when they are fitted. keep up the good work

Regards

Andy

Wow that is a really clean build. You must have handled the brass parts really carefully for them to stay so shiny. It is good to see it next to some other kits so you can see how big it is.

Walter

A sheer inspiration.

I can see you are getting some great fun from your building.

I am into the D 51 and have followed the instructions on the basis near the end they tell you how to take it apart to paint.

Most of the builders have already started to paint the wheels etc so not sure if I have gone a bit to far as I do want to paint me.

Hope the rest of your builds go well.

Happy Modelling

Thanks for your nice comments, guys!

@Tony
I will leave mine in brass - as i`m afraid my painting skills would ruin more than make it look better.

Actually i don`t own an airbrush at the moment - it`s one of my Projects for this year to buy one and learn how to work with it.

Greetings,
Walter
