I have just added the lower gun deck support beams which have to be bent by saw cuts at various intervals. The next job is to paint the outside of the support beams and the sides of the frames black. Where the frames fit into the slots on the deck there is a small gap either side. Does this have to be filled or will this be out of sight in the finished model?

Also when adding the support beams for the next level gun deck there is no mention of finish (e.g. varnish or paint). I assume that apart from the black painted areas the lower gun deck will be hidden.

Looking at the recent post I think I might also need to do some work on the notorious rib 15 before I add the gun deck...seems most people have a problem in this area!
