I think that you are right. Tomick is the boffin as far as I can see. I have been reading his build diary. I am trying to work out how to post pictures. I see that there is a block to attach files but nothing happens.

I have a little niggle telling me that we will get our build monthly. That means I will have a fix for 1 weekend and then go cold turkey for the rest of the month

Curiosity got the better of me so I went and bought issue one to get a taste of whats to come. So I have assembled what I could from Issue 1.

Looks good. I just built as far as the instructions in issue 1. Waiting for the subscription to start and I will take it from there. It seems that the front wing is a bit tricky. I will look at the build dairy again.

I managed to get further than issue1's guide as I used Tomick's Diary to finish it. You will have to remove those base plates again so don't quite get why issue 1 gets you started on the build the way they do as you can complete the nose to the point I did with the parts supplied.

You'll find that some parts have to be removed to fit other parts later on, so keep an eye on my build and you'll able to see well ahead for how its taking shape.

Yeah I am rather going to follow the Diary as it is a nice chronological order of the build vs the guides. Avoids double work. I also dont like to do and undo screws for the sake of the plastic thread.

Hi

Hope you guys get all your issues. I am subscribed to the McLaren build and all though it ended months ago there are plenty of us still waiting for missing issues.

Anyway, good luck with the build. would have loved to be part of this, but I am not putting myself through the fighting for issues thing again...

We get our issues from Jacklin Enterprises and I had no hassles from them when asking for missing issues or parts. They always supplied in quick time so I am happy at the moment. We will be getting 4 issues per month so the radio should arrive after 6 months.

Hi Nightrider, well it costs us R140.00 per issueCrying and that comes to AU$14. I have just rounded the figures off and I hope this is of help. Our money against the US$ has just droppedMad Now 14.77/$. I think that the fluctuations have been taken into account when the series was brought over here.

Just a thought, not that I have any brains to think with, will it be worth my while to rinse all the parts that we recieve in a solution of mild soap water? This is to remove any mold release agent on the parts.
