Got this on Ebay....actually I foolishly in my excitement bid on two, thinking I'd be lucky to get one...so I may have to find a good home for the second one.

I believe they stopped making these in the 70s, so it's a bit of a time capsule. As others have said, Pocher kits are a bit fiddly compared to the DeAgostini kits....lots of flash to trim and other fitment adjustments.

I started by copying the relic of instruction manual so I could make notes and lay out pages for multiple references. Then I started locating, kitting and prepping the parts called out for each subassembly. Right now I'm waiting for some paint, some coming via post and others hoping to be had at Hobby Lobby. They say the plastic parts are molded in correct colours and don't require painting unless you want more realism....duh...for that much time, effort and money I'm going for full effect.

Gary, If you want to do ANYTHING extra, I cannot recommend Marvin at Model Motorcars enough! The sets he has are fantastic! I have a Leggenda e Passione Mille Miglia Alfa conversion that is progressing VERY slowly. (sort of a glacial crawl) I'd get a set of his Alfa wheels though. They are vastly superior to the Pocher ones, and the tires (tyres??) are actually usable!

I've seen sites offering all sorts of Pocher bits...wheels, tires and interior kit's look enticing.

Well...I'm going to have to put this project on hold for a few months. We are into our hot, humid season and my shiny Italian Red paint goes flat before it dries completely.

I was also diagnosed with colon cancer towards the end of May....but so far it hasn't interfered too much....aside from daily radiation treatments (for a total of 25 sessions) and having to wear a portable chemo infusion pump 24/7 for that period.

Get yourself sorted first then get back to it, best of luck with your treatment

Thanks! It is a lot more fiddly to build than these nice Deagostini kits. Of course they didn't have computers to aid in the design and manufacture back then.
