Looking fab as usual ๐ I like the photo etched parts for deadeyes. I wish I had the same for mine but no harm here ๐ I really look forward to seeing it all installed and rigged. Keep us posted pls ๐

The last couple nights i have been working on the catheads, knightheads, crew heads and the beakhead doors and gun-ports, the knighthead crowns were taken from the Heller kit and are sitting next to a 5p piece, i had to purchase a silicon stick just to pick them up, i didn't want to use tweezers because you just know they're going to ping off into the carpet never to be seen again, the knightheads are not installed yet because they are going to need blocks and stuff attaching and it will be a right beggar getting in there later. Great work Paul.
It looks like those crowns do not come with the DeAg kit. Do you or does anyone else know where they can be sourced?

Thanks, I did see that, but I was not rally thinking of buying another model just to get the crowns.
I was wondering if there was another source.

Well, onto the ekeing rails, i started by gluing together some 4mm X 4mm to be able to create the caps underneath then cut the lengths down to 3mm X3mm, shaped the caps with Proxxon rotary sander and then started soaking, heating, bending and twisting with a soldering iron trying not to split the wood, after sanding it was apparent that some of it had thinned out so added some filler hoping i could sand it back into shape and not have to re-do them, this is how they stand at the moment so there's still a lot to do on them, fingers crossed. Those eking rails do cause quite a lot of work don't they?
You're are looking fine. Take your time and I'm sure they will come out looking perfect.

Ekeking rails, in Ireland you put an "F" in front of it and you'd pretty much have the right description,  anyway, the rails were painted so i could get a better look at the overall shape and thickness and i was quite happy with them so it was time to put the stripe on, i stuck a piece of 3mm masking tape onto my cutting board and cut it down to approx 1.5mm, i then painted it blue let it dry off and applied it to the rail, i then gave it a coat of matt varnish to seal on the masking tape, i have to cut out some slots on the back to sit around the whales and on they go tomorrow. The varnish on the Ekeing rails finally cured and were superglued on, i'm quite pleased with how they turned out and even more pleased that it happened first time round, i also cut out the moulding to be able to drop the channels into their right position, just a bit of filling and sanding and they're ready to be seated into position with pins but not yet attached.
