The part I think that is causing the confusion is the epoxy glue application to stays A and then later the cab being shown unattached.
If you have a look at Mr T's official build the process is explained in a better way than the instructions, essentially the cab is attached with epoxy to stays A at this point and when it is set the screws used to attach the stays A to the floor plate are removed/undone so as to be able to detach the two parts to enable access later
