Hello all,
A few months ago I got four numbers on the lottery, so I added a few pounds to the lottery win, and bought this kit. What attracted me to it, is the rather unusual rigging. Now that my stern wheeler and bireme are complete, it is time to retrieve it from the depths of my storage cupboard. It makes a nice change, that the first job is not tracing and cutting out the frames. There are all kinds of sub assemblies which need to be scratch buit, so it should be fun.

Regards,
Tony.

Hello all,
There is a length of 5 x 5mm wood included in the kit to make a construction stand. I added a piece of 5mm ply, some 1.5 x 5mm strip, stain, varnish and green baize, and made a stand which will serve to display the finished item. The instructions are not particularly good, but the drawing includes a 1:1 side elevation and plan view, which is very helpful. First layer planking is 1 x 3mm lime, and second layer is 0.5 x 3mm walnut. Deck planking is 0.5 x 3mm lime strip.

Regards,

Tony.

Hello all,
a bit of an update, but not too much as I only got out of hospital yesterday, after a two week stay. Updates will probably be a bit thin on the ground for the next month or so.
Regards,
Tony.
