After two and a half years, glued fingers, frustration and a bucket of persistence...it's all complete.

Without the assistance of this site i would never have made it, so thank you all for your help. I bought my Victory as a complete kit and the instruction manual was not helpful for the beginner but i now realise it wasn't meant for the novice builder so i forgive them.

There are bits i changed, like the gun ports, i used metal ones as i couldn't face trying to line them all and for me it works, although i am sure many would disagree,

I have already signed up for the SotS and this time I will try not to rush at it like a bull in a china shop....although after two and a half years it's for a given value of rush.

All in all a huge sense of satisfaction, i learned so much and know it's going to help with the next one. the real issue for the Admiral is where she will make room to display them.

BigGrin Hi Joe

Its a great feeling to finish a model but also a little sadness as you leave an old friend behind. As for help and advice its what we are here for and to me and probably several others the fact that we helped you through the tricky times is reward enough.
No matter how you have finished her it is your model and its the individual touches that make it your own, how about some pic's in the finished build gallery and well done on finishing her

Regards

Well done Joe, onwards and upwards with your SotS build and hope you enjoy it as much, where the skills you have learned during your Victory build, will put you in very good standing with your SotS build and all future period ship builds Cool

Congratulations Joe. FInishing a wooden ship model is an amazing accomplishment.I would love to see some pictures of your build.I look forward to seeing your SOTS build.Anyone that has built a wooden ship knows how much of a challenge they can be, but nothing beats stepping back and looking at the finished model and knowing you built it.
