Black Pearl Model Hello everyone. Not so long ago I bought a complete Black Pearl kit from a garage sale for $50.The bloke said he bought it years ago because of the movie but lost interest when he saw the work involved in building the kit.As I am new to the hobby and really enjoying the Sovereign of the Seas I grabbed it straight away. I went through the contents when I got home and everything seems to be there.It come in a plain box and is made by a Chinese company called ZHL.The instructions are on large sheets of paper - no step by step but diagrams. Has anyone out there built this kit? If so,whats it like? The Black Pearl partwork has just started here so I am considering whether to start that or attempt the one I've got.Thanks to S.O.T.S I've been bitten by the modelling bug real bad. Certainly their online effort of the Black Pearl is a illegal kit and its reported quality being the worst that many builders have ever had to endure..

I did not know it was an illegal kit. As I said I bought it in good faith at a garage sale without knowing it's origin. I apologise for posting it.
I'll get the partwork instead.

Hi Matty, You clearly wern't to know that this was an illegal kit, they are still on ebay, your version and a "better" (but still illegal 2010 version).
