Does anyone know why the intercooler is made from 2 different materials, one side plastic and the other diecast? because of this when the 2 pieces are stuck together the 2 sides look a different colour.

One side you won't see when assembled and the inner inter cooler will look a different shade when assembled due to the dark area inside the side pods.
