Decided to start with the wheels Parts supplied :- 2 X Hubs 2 X Rims 30 X spokes (2 spare) Built two jigs to hold the rims and hubs then proceeded to shape each of the spokes, it got easier after each spoke. Each spoke needed to be glued into place individually. I used Super PVA, mainly because it gave me some time to position the spokes before setting. Left overnight to go off hard They need a bit of light sanding then primer and topcoat More Later Next will be dry fitting the parts of the carriage and gun to test fit and to see where they fit GilShapley attached the following image(s): Current Build:- [color=blue]Stash Avro Lancaster (Full Kit)plus some extra issues I picked up at a good price [color=blue]Built:- Norman Catapult by Mantua,Roman Catapult by Mantua,HMS Victory,HMS Victory XSection,Focker DB1,Bismark,English Carronade Titanic Lifeboat,American Civil War Gatling,Hummer,Sopwith Camel F1,Occre Jupiter ,OcCre Wagon, Latina Arab Dhow, Eaglemass Orrery OcCre Rogers 119 [color=red][color=red]RB7,OcCre Missippi River Boat, Model Airways Fokker DR1 OcCre London L>C>C 106 Ugears Scrambler, Ugears Hexapod Explorer UGears Off-Road Vehicle

Gil Bit like déjà vu as I am sure I posted against this commending you on an excellant job on those wheels. Easy to shape one spoke -but a whole batch - now that is some skilled modelling. Very well done and thanks for posting a very interesting kit. Model expo is an "odd" company in that they sometimes sell a kit with uk postage not much more than posting something within the uk. Then at other times it's £30 to £40 postage on a kit costing less. They have a lot of very attractive kits - just a pity we do not have a uk retailer. Hope the rest of your build goes well Kind regards Tony Happy Modelling

Next step Check all parts are present (Biggest problem was what the parts are called) Got it sorted , Yes all present and correct Gun assembly next Shaft Carrier Longer Centre piece Six muzzle pieces This should be straight forward but ........................ Have completed the gun assembly by adding the six barrel ends Was not a simple matter of gluing them into the holes provided on the main housing as they where all oversize. The castings are all made of aluminium so can be easily whittled with a sharp craft knife even if they are a bit on the small size for my sausage like fingers The casting in general need some tidying up to remove the odd bits of extra aluminium left over from the casting Have also completed the basic trail assembly Primed all components and painted all the bits and bobs (technical term for all the add-ons which will be attached to the trail) Need to paint the gun housing brass and the barrels metalic, I have some black metal but not sure if this will give the correct blue/black metal effect. so any suggestions will be welcombe GilShapley attached the following image(s): Current Build:- [color=blue]Stash Avro Lancaster (Full Kit)plus some extra issues I picked up at a good price [color=blue]Built:- Norman Catapult by Mantua,Roman Catapult by Mantua,HMS Victory,HMS Victory XSection,Focker DB1,Bismark,English Carronade Titanic Lifeboat,American Civil War Gatling,Hummer,Sopwith Camel F1,Occre Jupiter ,OcCre Wagon, Latina Arab Dhow, Eaglemass Orrery OcCre Rogers 119 [color=red][color=red]RB7,OcCre Missippi River Boat, Model Airways Fokker DR1 OcCre London L>C>C 106 Ugears Scrambler, Ugears Hexapod Explorer UGears Off-Road Vehicle

Build is looking really nice. Pretty cool to see this. I just watched a movie today on the Battle of SAN Juan Hill, and the Gatling Gun played a pivotal role in securing a victory for the Americans.
