Hi Trev, As strange as it may seem, the straps were the easier part(although still not easy). The hardest piece to remove was the larger section on the back, around the shoulder area. Had to be careful around the collar area, so as not to damage parts that were to remain and also leave a surface in it`s place that looked like the back of a coat, not an area that looked like someone had gone mad with a knife. Thanks for looking in and commenting. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Hi All, Sorry it`s been a while, but the central heating is now done. Today they started on the windows etc. Just one pic for the records.(See below) So now to the point of this post. SOME MODELLING DONE.(Yesterday) Now now, don`t get too excited. Only small but, at least things are on the up at last. Ok, having removed the life-jacket, (some while ago) I`ve added some more parts and put together some others away from the main part of the build. Next three pics. After a base coat of grey, started on the paint job for real. Next pic shows where things are at the moment. Then a couple of detail shots. Well that`s all for now. Off on me Hols soon, so will be a gap again Soon as I get back, the man cave will be finished and then the sky`s the limit. (Work and SWMBO permitting) Oh, that and all the darn decorating that now needs doing. Happy modelling all, Regards delboy271155 (Derek) delboy271155 attached the following image(s): COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Del I hope you have not turned into the "crazed modeller" those look like bars up your windows Pleased to see your back in your builds. This is a very nice model and your putting a very mice finish on it. Been looking on and off on eBay for these tamiya kits and although most start at a penny they end up selling for the£10 plus mark so still very popular kits. Best wishes - and hope they get the glass in for you before the snow starts Happy Modelling

Hi All, Well the holiday is over, but not quite faded into the past (YET). Don`t know if Deag post to Cyprus, but if they do, then when I win the Lottery I`ll be moving. Anyway back to reality. Had a couple of issues with the new windows before I went away and they were resolved Yesterday. So the finishing of the Man-Cave has been delayed yet again. In the interim I`ve made some serious progress with the "Stuka" pilot. When I left this just before my hols, I had just started painting in some of the detail. Having removed the life jacket straps, I`ve now decided that the life jacket could still be an integral part of the build. The first pic shows where things are at the moment. Looking at the detail required, I was at this point thinking,"should I have left the life jacket on. Oh well to late at this point Eh!! The life jacket now becomes part of the build. The next stages are shown in the second and third pics. At this point the poor fellow needed some arms, so here he is in the final pic, complete including his life jacket. So there you go, my attempt at a "Stuka" pilot. Hope you enjoy, Regards delboy271155 (Derek) delboy271155 attached the following image(s): COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"
