Hi Andy, BigGrin

Thanks for taking a look and the comments. Cool

Will spend a bit more time on it at the weekend, to put the final touches on it and will post some of the base coat pics.

Hi Derek,
That strap had to go, and in your hands you have masterly remove it,I would think that was quite a job.

Hi Trev, BigGrin

As strange as it may seem, the straps were the easier part(although still not easy).

The hardest piece to remove was the larger section on the back, around the shoulder area. Had to be careful around the collar area, so as not to damage parts that were to remain and also leave a surface in it`s place that looked like the back of a coat, not an area that looked like someone had gone mad with a knife. Laugh

Thanks for looking in and commenting. Cool

Hi All,BigGrin BigGrin

Sorry it`s been a while, but the central heating is now done.

Today they started on the windows etc.

Just one pic for the records.(See below)

So now to the point of this post.

SOME MODELLING DONE.(Yesterday)

Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love

Now now, don`t get too excited.Flapper

Only small but, at least things are on the up at last.

Ok, having removed the life-jacket, (some while ago) I`ve added some more parts and put together some others away from the main part of the build. Next three pics.

After a base coat of grey, started on the paint job for real. Blink

Next pic shows where things are at the moment. Then a couple of detail shots.

Well that`s all for now.

Off on me Hols soon, so will be a gap again Crying Crying Crying

Soon as I get back, the man cave will be finished and then the sky`s the limit.

(Work and SWMBO permitting) Oh, that and all the darn decorating that now needs doing.Blink Blink Blink Blink

Happy modelling all,

Regards

I hope you have not turned into the "crazed modeller" those look like bars up your windows LOL

Pleased to see your back in your builds. This is a very nice model and your putting a very mice finish on it.

Been looking on and off on eBay for these tamiya kits and although most start at a penny they end up selling for the£10 plus mark so still very popular kits.

Best wishes - and hope they get the glass in for you before the snow starts BigGrin

Happy Modelling

Hi, BigGrin BigGrin

Thanks to all above for looking in and the kind comments.

Glad to be back up and running after a period of turmoil while most of my flat was turned around.

As for the bars, they not to keep me in, there to keep the stash monsters out.

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

and Stevie_o, you were right.

The builders have got to come back, as they appear not to be able to make all the glazing panels fit the frames for which they were intended.

Cursing Cursing Cursing Cursing Cursing Cursing Cursing

Will be back in full production very soon after my Hols.

Happy Building All,

Hi All, BigGrin BigGrin

Well the holiday is over, but not quite faded into the past (YET).
Don`t know if Deag post to Cyprus, but if they do, then when I win the Lottery I`ll be moving.

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

Anyway back to reality.

Had a couple of issues with the new windows before I went away and they were resolved Yesterday.

So the finishing of the Man-Cave has been delayed yet again.

Cursing Cursing Cursing Cursing Cursing

In the interim I`ve made some serious progress with the "Stuka" pilot.

When I left this just before my hols, I had just started painting in some of the detail.

Having removed the life jacket straps, I`ve now decided that the life jacket could still be an integral part of the build.

The first pic shows where things are at the moment.

Looking at the detail required, I was at this point thinking,"should I have left the life jacket on. Crying Crying

Oh well to late at this point Eh!!

The life jacket now becomes part of the build.

The next stages are shown in the second and third pics.

At this point the poor fellow needed some arms, so here he is in the final pic, complete including his life jacket.

So there you go, my attempt at a "Stuka" pilot.

Hope you enjoy, BigGrin BigGrin
