I have started just using simple LEDs from Maplins http://forum.model-space...t.aspx?g=posts&t=993You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.

Just finished wiring the LEDs to the mains via a 12v power pack. I was using a 12v battery box that I didn't like as I would have to have access to the pack to change the batteries. I have used the power pack from an old radio which plugs into the ship via a round 6mm socket so all I have to do is mount the socket somewhere discrete. I have mounted the LEDs using small block connectors. That way I can bend the LED wires into the exact position that I want them in. I just run the wires where they can't be seen. Obviously this does require some drilling of the gun decks. If you are going to follow this example - the best tip is to use very thin wires as you need to bend some round tight corners. Another tip - if you are buying your LEDs from Maplins, decide roughly how many you need. They only stock 2 - 4 of any kind !!!! You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.

I just run them where I can - I decide first where I want illumination fix the LED to a block connector and then just run wires where I can. Numbers on the pack of LEDs are: 63.05.B4 CJ68 048-0077483 Hope this helps mate You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.

I did at first when I used 6v LEDs but then I changed to 12v LEDs with a 12v power supply. You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.
