Kp This is something different. Looking forward to seeing how you get along with this one. It looks a ( and no criticism intended) very dated kit and I would think something very special. Never knew Revell produced anything like this. Bet you will be able to get a lovely paint finish on this. Lots of luck with your build. Happy modelling Tony Happy Modelling

Yes I think it's been stored somewhere damp as there is a lot of corrosion on the metal parts. Ken's the name modeling's the game.

Hi all well I've started cleaning the bodywork, getting rid of the flash and checking the fit, I think I have a lot of work where that is concerned its a terrible fit anyway I sprayed the engine black as per the instructions. then I thought I would do some research as I want to do a good job of it and discovered the engine has no black in it, it's silver and green so thats where I am now, looking to find what I can use for the ht leads from the spark plugs. Hi all here is tonights episode. I drilled out the distributor so I could put the HT leads in. then I made the HT leads out of thin solder wire. Then I cut them to length and squished the ends to make the tabs to connect them to the spark plugs. Then I noticed from the ref photos I have that there are rivets and badges on the starter motor and solinoid so I added them. still loads of detail to add to the engine bay, got an idea for making the jubilie clips for the radiator hoses and I am going to attempt to make the fuel pump and assossiated pipes as they are only vaugley moulded into the firewall. KP That really is a beautiful finish you have on that paintwork. The raw metal kit did look a little worse for wear so not sure how much cleaning up you had to do but either way a well smooth finish to your paint coats. Very well done. Happy modelling Tony Happy Modelling

The finish is not that great actually the grill is going to need a lot of work, I was hoping the corrosion would not show with a coat of paint but it does. The trouble is its such a detailed area sanding the corrosion out without sanding detail out is going to be a real nightmare. Ken's the name modeling's the game.

KP Looks good to me from the pictures you have posted. Not much further to go now before you end up with a cracker of a build. Happy modelling Tony Happy Modelling
