The Ministry of Defence says it is weighing three "strong bids" to provide a new home for Britain's last aircraft carrier

Hi All,BigGrin

It`s got to stay in this country.

If they can`t find somewhere, I`ll pay em a tenner and they can park it in the canal outside my flat.

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

Wouldn`t that be a cool view outside your lounge window.Blink

Seriously though, it should be preserved for "British Heritage".

Stays here because overseas countries have been known to try and re-commission.

My choice would be Portsmouth but sure others will gave their own views.

We have destroyed far to much heritage in this country it's about time we started to save some. And to be cynical someone in Whitehall's probable thinking in an emergency we could push the tourists off and equip it with some balsa gliders ( no harriers now) to fight the next conflict.

Gets a bit embarrasing when you gave to requesition cruise liners to send your troops to war. Maybe we could all Chip in and buy one of those ships France is holding back from the Russians.

Happy Modelling
