So I haven't posted any pics or given updates on my progression, I really wanted to put plenty of detail and do something a little different, so here is some pics with carbon detailing and helmet and pit board etc.

Thanks for the comments guys :)

Today I have been chroming BUT.... Although the finish is good it's not that much reflective than the standard paint job I WILL give it a tcut and see if that makes it more of a mirror image i not I WILL have to get the issue 1 again lol, let me know what you think (of course pics never do it justice)

Wow, you did an amazing job on those exhausts, the heat effect is really effective

Very nice heat effect on the exhausts Mark, I did something similar on mine when I built it. If I may suggest something, the colours are great but just a little bright, though that's just my opinion? What I did with mine was to spray one or two very light coats of Tamiya X-19 'Smoke' over the coloured exhausts and it turned out to look even better and dare I say even more realistic? If you have any X-19 Smoke, just try a test piece first by spraying a spare piece of plastic tubing with the same chrome and heat colours that you've used already and then try a thin coat of smoke or two over the top until you are happy and you'll see what I mean?

Hope that helps?

Great build by the way and you're a man after my own heart with all the extra details that you've added - superb build, well done!! Cool ThumpUp

Thanks for you kind words It means a lot knowing my hard work is paying off,

I used alclad 2 chrome for exhaust (although with a bit more effort time and patience with the black base it would have looked more mirror chrome)

I then used very lightly 'game paint bright bronze' on all the joints in the exhaust (where the heat would be at the highest)

Then very precisely use 'aero color violet 305'

Then use 'aero color base cyan' overlapping some of the violet going lighter and lighter towards the end.
