Yo Ho me hearties,
I'm just about to start fairing the hull and looking at the photos in the magazine,it looks as though the build is turned upside down to facilitate this task. I was wondering if there are any ideas about protecting the fragile ribs from possible damage while the hull is worked on.

Hi there daffy09, I have hijacked one of my wife's old single bed sheets...when folded a few times it forms a cushion for those delicate parts and is also handy for catching the sawdust and shavings...the missus hasn't cottoned on about the missing sheet as yet!!
Current Builds: Deagostini HMS Victory: Deagostini HMS Sovereign of the seas. Completed Builds: Del Prado: HMAS Bounty: Hachette: RMS Titanic: Del Prado: Cutty Sark...

Hi Daffy I'm using a pillow to protect the ribs. BigGrin

Thanks Johnny and Mac
they say the best ideas are usually the simplest. Brilliant, I'll be trying that
Happy building

I found this the best way too - sat on the bench on the patio with the model between my legs. Looked like it had been snowing afterwards!
