 Is it possible to "un-glue" an assembled piece (any assembly and any piece) that has been glued with the white wood glue supplied in most (all?) hobby kits? Eugene Every time I get the urge to exercise, I lie down till the feeling passes. NEVER play leapfrog with Unicorns !!

Soaking or gently steaming the piece in question works.

i managed to unglue frames from the keel of my Yamato by placing the parts in basin of hot water for bout 2 minutes & parts seperated surprisingly easy without damage(aliphatic & white PVA glues) Suspect due to the water being hot it softened the glue Might be advisable to lay parts that are wet on a weighted flat surface ie sheet of glass till dry before reassembling to prevent any curl Not sure if this is the correct way but worked for me Hope that helps

Thank you !!! ...... this is really good news !!! Now I can fix a problem with the mizzen mast on my HMS Pandora. Youguys are life savers. Eugene. I sometimes wonder .................................... how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges? NEVER play leapfrog with Unicorns !!
