This is coming along well, now. I am building this stage at the moment but have a couple of minor problems I am hoping you can help with.

Firstly neither hole in the right radiator seems to be perfectly sized. Radiator hose b I have glued in to the back of the radiator as the hole was too big, but radiator hose a the hole seems too small and will not go in. So is there any technique or different angle I should try? Or will I have to adapt it by cutting the pin off the end and glueing it.

Also the screws for the bonnet hinges require a size 0 phillips screwdriver. I have 2 but they both have tapered ends, meaning they don't fit the head of the screws well and are starting to chew the heads even though the hinges are still very loose. So anyone know if you can get a size 0 phillips screwdriver without a tapered end and where?

Any help and guidance would be much appreciated, thanks.

BigGrin Hi Flash

Thanks for looking in and your comments.

I had the same being the hole slightly too big or too small on the one that seams too small looking at the pin you will see two ridges on either side just trim these off to get a fit for the hoses.

As for the hinges I tapped the hole using a tapp set I have then used one screw to make sure both holes would screw in ok then used the two unused screws to fix the hinges. I have added a link to the mini tap and die set im using.

A philips '0' screwdriver can be got off flea-bay for a quid with free postage,

Hope this helps.

Thanks for that, its helpfull to know if I trim the end it should fit. But I've been trawling the internet for a screwdriver and none of them look any better than the two I have. Also £27 seems a lot to spend for two screws.

Thanks for your help Andy, I'll see if I can sort this out.

BigGrin Hi All

Pack 17 is here. Firstly the various panels and wire side panels were added to the bonnet and also the bonnet strut.

A word of warning here, when you tap the hole for the strut screw make sure that the screw driver wont slip off as it will go straight through the wire mesh if your not careful like mine. I have a replacement on the way now but thought I would highlight what could go wrong if your not careful.

The air duct hose and left wheel box assemble went together easily as usual, more next month.

Regards

Looking Sweet Andy

That was unlucky slipping with the screwdriver, I was so nervous about the same when I did mine BigGrin

I was surprised how big and heavy the wing part was and still another one to come for the other side Blink
