Hi all,
I have bought some sheets of Studio27 CF decal to embellish the model. I used the Deag provided decals for the suspension arms but other items like the brake ducts are crying out for CF embellishment. Problem is they look pretty tricky to template, odd shapes full of compound curves. So my question is two part.
1. Are there any aftermarket CF detailing sets with precut decals for the areas not covered by the Deag sheets.
2. If not, does any one have some templates for those extra parts that they can share?
Many thanks.

Hi Zuff and welcome back! Long time no see as they say.

As far as I am aware there are no templates or pre-cut aftermarket decals available for what you want but builders have been known to use the provided decals and use those as a template, filling in or adjusting areas not covered.

Thanks Spencer.
Now winter is back I am progressing the M23 and the MP4/23.
With respect to the carbon fibre detailing for the latter, I am using the supplied decals for the suspension arms and hubs. But it is the other elements like the brake cooling ducts, which are not included in the standard decal set, that I am looking for assistance with. I have no experience of templating decals for compound curves like those found on the ducts.

Look forward to seeing your progress Zuff BigGrin .. I used CF on my MP4/23 but alas did not use any templates. It was just a matter of covering the areas as much as possible and not worrying about any overlap as this would be hidden once a clear coat and a polish was given. Have a look at my diary and you will see what I mean.
