Your falcon is coming alone really nicely. Love seeing the near completed bottom. Also love your pics with the costumes and such, especially Jabba, you lucky dog, lol.

Well i was most shocked today when my local newsagent told me that issue 47 was in BigGrin

We have more lower hull plating and greeblies but the icing on the cake is what we are starting to do in issue 48

Looks like we get another jig

Just a heads up regards fitting this bridging detail in issue 47

even thou it can fit both ways, it is not very clear on the instructions.

If you look at the picture below of original filming model there is a small lug (centre of the picture) just below the 4 square holes, you will be able to identify which way this goes.

Hope this helps it trying to get it correct.

Ordered 2 issue's on separate occasions, one arrived within 14 days. The other 8 days.

I have my lower turret now

I dry fitted some of the greeblies, I am loving the emense detail BigGrin she is going to be an awesome ship when finished.

Issue 48 turned up today, don't know where I'm going to put a second jig, plus all the parts are stacking up.

Can't believe it's been almost a year.

This issue also includes the start of a paint tutorial using tamiya paints.

So exciting seeing how far I have yet to go.
Must second having had great service from the Phone staff here in North America. Polite and on the ball.
Can't wait to see more of the topside come together!

Me too, the first half included the interior hull, so the top hopefully should come thick and fast BigGrin

Great build so far does the magazines show you how to paint each panel or just what colors to use

Got issue 49 today, includes mire top plating (which is good)

Plus some more good painting tips, which include making another mdf/ply base and using a lazy suzan for rotating the falcon for ease of painting.

Does it give you a guide to painting all of the different marking colors on each panel piece?
