Thankyou Carl they look Brilliant I've posted a PM

Hi All just arrived at forest of Dean, how lovely is this place and accommodation not to bad either! The old adage "You cant take it with you" BigGrin BigGrin.

Heres a few pic cannons now done going to do some touchcing up and then set the lower masts
for shrouds . Not going to go too mad on it this week due to several family visitors but will do a bit - gotta say thanks once again to the people who have been so kind (you know who you are)

It took a bit of head scratching and a lot of help from Johncal (fair play to him) but i seem to be making decent ropes each time now - hes right you need to attach a drill because you will be there for hours making one rope. But i have not yet found the need to rebuild it out of plastic and i am using 5 strand ropes on the shrouds. - that i think depends on personal preference of what fits your model.

If you need any help set it up and get in touch - im more than willing to help if you want to pm me it might be easier to go through it by phone no probs m8.

all the best Ant BigGrin BigGrin

Hi Ant.

Rigging of carriage tackle:

URL=http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=281880img058.jpg][/URL]

Sorry,it's in French.

crochet = hook
muraille = bulwark
affût = carriage.

Right: fastening of rope around the single block.

Now, fasten the fall of the tackle (4) between the two blocks as follows:

Otherwise the gun could move and could be very dangerous for the sailors.

Thankyou Alain

I Have fully rigged the underdeck cannon but this is more about time constraints if you read the earlier posts you will understand. If i get the time i will do this as it is very useful information.

Thankyou once again

Cheers Ant BigGrin
