Hi Guys,

Thought I would finally register and share my build. I'm through Pack 8. I'm a HUGE Senna fan and also luckily enough to be a NSX owner for the past 16 years, the car in which he helped Honda fine tune.

Minichamps 1/8 helmet; I had to add the Marlboro decal:

Made my own clip for the battery holder:

Added the caliper temperature decals and made my own brake lines:

Obtained a Senna figure because it is still unknown if we are going to get 'em; should be here in about a week:

I used mesh for the radiator screen:

Added the tire script decals and the Dymag decals to the rims. Added the value stems from RB. Also removed the printed Good Year scripting and sprayed on the lettering with a template. I love the overspray effect, just like how it was done in the 80s:

That looks really good Jim. Great added detail. Where did you get the senna figure from?

Ok, here is a sneak peak on what I plan for my build. On my 1/12 MP4/4, I added a blinking LED for the rear light. I drilled out the shipping base tie-down screw hole a bit bigger for my on/off switch. I will basically do the same thing for this build. Total materials was $6.

Only thing is a blinking light would not be correct for that period as back then they had a static light.

Ahh, thanks for letting me know Steve! I'll have to decide if I'm going to take my artistic liberties on it!

I received the Senna figure last week. Hard to tell from the pictures but interesting there is a big discrepancy in helmet size between the Minichamps one and the DeAgostini one since they are the same scale. The MC one is smaller. I wonder which one is more accurate? Just in my opinion but the shade of the yellow on the helmet on the DeAgostini one is a bit off.

I bought the DeAgostini display case. You can see how large it is relative to my 1/12 (almost as wide as my stairs, lol.) Ayrton Senna's signature is embossed on it.

Looks good.
Did you also get the stand for the engine cover?
I tried to get one but resorted to building my own and got the case built to the same dimensions.

Yes, I bought the 'dedicated body stand' stand from Japan. I should receive it in about a week.

I too was going to build my own stand if I couldn't get a hold of it...but I found it and it can be ordered online.

Great to see your progress, nice work on the tires and helmet- I agree the DeAg figure has some 'issues' such as a mold seam down the middle of the helmet, but the figure fits well inside the cockpit.

I'm still trying to source the Museum Collection decals for the Senna figure. HobbyLink Japan is the one that seems to carry it and they have been back ordered for a very long time, along with all other decals associated with the MP4/4.
