Gun ports sizes.......... Tomick instructs you to cut the ports at 12mm square , What is the actual finished size of the gun port ??? Reason of asking I want line the gun ports with a natural wood finish , not sure what thickness lining to use , going to double plank so I intend to leave the finished planking 1mm smaller all around the port to give a recess. If I used 1mm lining then the port would end up with a 8mm square opening. Any comments would be appreciated . Mald

Well my first thought is for you to check your maths. You will finish with a 10mm square hole. I believe the gun ports will be lined as part of the standard build.
