All the base body colour is now done, engine and wheels done and the driver. Next up is to paint the seats. Couldn't resist a dry mock up. I noticed the winch is built to go round but no cable, that was soon resolved!BigGrin

Paint work continues!BigGrin Being in the dessert the sun would have bleached the paint, so the next step was colour modulation (big word that, new I would use it one day!LOL), in other words fading the paint. On the upper most and angled surfaces I have gone over them with a lighter shade of the base colour being more to the center of the panel than the edges, so with the initial pre shade I did, it gives a worn sun bleached look. In the last picture you can see the difference, the right interior is the original colour with the body on the right having the weathered look. The wheels have had a dark brown wash applied to pick out the details. Once I am happy with the look it will all be sealed with klear.BigGrin

Nice work so far Daran. Cool ThumpUp

I like your colour modulation on the exterior, it's the subtleties like that which make all the difference to finished model - well done.

The interior has had some basics done, dry brushing on the floor and steps and the seats. All the main components have had a filter applied to blend the top coat. Next up is a coat of Klear and then the decals. You can see how the filter works by looking at the original untouched top coat in the back of the tractor floor.BigGrin

this is quite stunning a good job well done.

Just an aside, I did my gunnery training on a 25 Pounder (1963)
