Have any of you modified an old electric toothbrush to act as a sander???

I suspect this would be quite easy to achieve, and with replaceable heads, several different heads could be used for differing requirements.

Just a thought!

Yes! I have done this; and found it somewhat useful for small areas-the trick is finding a way to make sandpaper pieces interchangeable, maybe velcro would work? For now I use a white glue which is easy to apply and a remove.

Most electric sanders have velcro sanding pads, so super glueing the hooks to the toothbrush head would allow you to change the sandpaper with ease, after cutting to shape!
