Supplied Parts Problem

I have had halt my build at Stage 23 - as I have discovered that the Rotor Arm supplied in Part 1of the series was incorrect.

This may be happening to others - therefore please note that Picture 7 on Page 132 of the build instructions clearly indicate that the 'locking system' is situated on the left at the top of the Rotor Arm. The part supplied in Pack 1 of the build was on the right.

I have asked CS for the replacement part.

You might want to check your other rotor arm - at this stage of the build I realised that somehow I had the arms swapped around: rear arm had red rotor guard (and corresponding rotor and red arm panel) installed, and the front one - had the black components. Not sure where I made the mistake but they were switched around.

You can easily check that by looking at the arrows on the first two arms supplied: if they point in the opposite directions, then you have them simply switched around. If the arrows point in the same direction then you indeed have one supplied wrong.

Happy building :-)

Hi Michu, checked and I didn't get them wrong. The part supplied to me in Part 1 was incorrect as previously described.

Thanks for advice though. Hope your build is going well.

Hi Longblade, I would be very interested - as I'm getting no response from Customer Support.

How can we handle this. Happy to PM you with me address and somehow arrange for cost of postage.

Martin

Hi All,

I am new to this forum, but joined having become frustrated with Customer Support not responding to me about the error in Pack 1 that some subscribers appear to have suffered. Marsot, I too now have 3 x counter clockwise rotor arms, so the drone will be useless unless I can get CS to respond. I have sent 5 emails to CS now and only received 1 response to the first email saying that some subscribers had received incorrect parts, but to date no replacement. First communication was sent 2 months ago now. At this stage, I would almost give up the build, but as I opted for the 12 month option, it would be a large amount of money down the drain and all I would have is an expensive paperweight.

By the way, there are some really nice looking builds here, and I hope that the rotor arm issue can be sorted because the drone does look great fun when complete.

Hi Newbie,

I have to share your view about Customer Services - they do not respond adequately and rarely tell you what exactly is happening to your problem.

I would suggest you Private Message 'Tomick' who seems to be able to get things done and more than anyone else understands the models, as he has built them. But he will only get involved if you have given CS a fair time to do their thing.

Anyone that has an incorrect arm for Pack 1, can you send me a PM with your account number and address detail, so that a correct replacement can be provided.

Thanks
