Just wanted to say hello. Been lurking the forum for 2 months, and started a couple of subscriptions in January. Have gotten my 3rd deliveries this week. I'm a long-time modeler, and have built some fine kits over the years (ex: 1/8 Rosso Ferrari F1, etc). The quality of the DeAgostini kits is very, very impressive. I ordered the Countach 500s, Fatboy, and MP4/23. I've also just worked ordered the Millennium Falcon as well. A small side note. I've also restored (and sold, unfortuntately) a number of nice sports cars over the years. Among them was a Lamborghini Countach 5000s. This is the same model as the 500s from DeAgostini, it was labelled the 5000s for US sale. Only 231 of these were ever made, I had a late model from 1985, Black with White Leather interior. Anyway, I put a lot of work into that car, and sold it a few years later in the late 90s. I should have kept it, the value has increased at least 10-fold from when I sold it in 1999. Anyway, the DeAgostini model is extraordinary, it matches little details on the real car exceptionally well. I'm looking forward to the the full build, with many memories of my work on the real thing.

Welcome Diablo! Soooooooo jealous that you have even been lucky enough to have had the 500s in your life  as its one that I and many a boy (now men) have only dreamed about having. Even to the point that owning and living out of one rather than a house was on the cards but then you grow up and realise that's just not practice  Enjoy your stay with us and your purchase and look forward to seeing some more pictures of your past Lambo Spencer

Hi Diablo The Countach was one of my childhood fantasy cars too, sadly way out of my budget now but I am very much enjoying building the model one. Hope you enjoy yours as much as everyone that is building it, oh and welcome to the the forum
