First post is going to be a very quick whizz through on what I have gotten to so far, the rest will be more in depth Drilled holes in the gun ends Other parts of the gun primed Cockpit yokes Everything in the cockpit comes black, so repainted everything from the seats the center console, amde stuff look worn where I could Now this is where I decided to start repainting everything, I felt the factory colours were to unsubtle and garish and a bit toy like, so went out and purchased and air brush and compressor, my first time using an airbrush I hasten to add Primered up the plating parts I had so far, using rattle can model primer Then when that dried I started the preshading with the air brush, using Tamiya Rubber black, went over the areas I wanted to darken Then mixed up a custom colour, 4 flat white to 1 deck tan Then went over the parts with a top coat, I may even give it a bit more to make it more subtle. Sprayed the panels that are meant to be grey. However before I started i put salt over parts of it Why you ask, because it achieves a nice worn chipped look The same panel before, I will do the red panel bits too but had to order some paint in the right colour Also did some details on the cockpit tunnel, plenty more weather to come on these bits, Iv just had to order some more paint to do it decided to crack open my weathering master kit and give it a go painted the red areas on the turret Found some etched brass decking online for the floor, dry brushed with silver and fitted some to the cockpit floor as a trial, but I think I may actually leave it there now. Will do the big main floor panel in it when it arrives decided to crack with some more of the weathering to the bits I already Nuln oil applied in all the crevices Then dry brushed with the main colour paint mix I had, then applied some powdered art pastels, how they stand at the moment Looks a bit dark on those pics because of being taken against a white background More accurate portrayal

That cockpit is sweet!! Can you share where you bought the flooring? That would kook amazing in the passenger areas! I may use the salt technique as well. I haven't received my shipment yet but so far this looks like an awesome kit!!

Fantastic work
A novel idea to use half orange as a spray stand, but be careful as its surface can have a wax to it.

Started on the interior fold floor, using the brass etched decking I recently purchased. Masked up the area to be decked Primed Then I painted it black, but for some reason didnt get a pic of that. Did purchased the Shapeways container grills however felt they were a bit chunky/clunky especially sat next to the brass etched stuff, so I made my own out of spare decking I had, I will finish these off with edging tomorrow when everything is dry. Gave it a bit of a wash with black to "wear it" Placed some of the other bits in there, obiously need to paint these yet Will look better when i finish those center tiles off

made up the seat cushions, had to wire wool them as the weathering was way over the top, looked like someone had spilled oil all over them Need to get some modelling putty to smooth the holes in the backs

This looks really nice, you've donea great job. I have been looking at a lot of different floor builds and thought I would like to do one myself as I can't really justify the cost of a 3D printed one. I have started buying up some materials, just Evergreen Styrene, in preperation, hope to post soon

Made up the bunk bed bit Wasnt happy with the panel join though, so used some filler glue, and some filler (not pictured) Then sanded down and primed Also primed these other bits Then quickly decided wanted to respray the interior walls to add shading and also things like pastels stick to the paint better than the plastic Primed up Did some pre shading Applied a medium grey Nuln oil in these bits Then highlighted the raised bits Thats it for today

SJ what a brilliant job you are doing with this one. That flooring was a real good find and looks top notch. I can see you are getting some great fun from this build. Happy Modelling
