BigGrin Hi Dave

Your right about the Detail on this model its very high and was one of the reasons I went for it. Its another kit that people will regret not getting hold of when the opportunity was there as with all partworks once its gone its gone. Thanks for looking in and your comments.

BigGrin Hi All

Pack 17 has arrived. Firstly the left hand turbo was assembled then the fuel hoses were added to the fuel rail this completed rail was then added to the engine block, this can be a tricky operation as the rail has to go under the fuel injectors fitted previously, so take your time and tweezers help a lot. Also I found it best to glue and hold each fuel line in place until the glue sets as they try to twist off because of the angle.
Next the right hand turbo was made up then the fuel pump was added to the engine block and then fixed to the fuel rail, finally for this part the header tank hose was added to the bottom of the engine.
The last few parts to be made up were the two wastegates ,then the oil/water heat exchanger was added to the the engine block. Next the valve and inlet pipe were added to the header tank then the two sensors were added to the plenum chamber, finally the two oil filter joints were added to the lower engine block. That finishes pack 17 more soon.

Regards

BigGrin Hi All

Pack 18, Started off by adding the header tank to the engine along with the fitting of the plenum chamber next up was to add the nose box and lastly the engine was attached to the monocoque. Note the plenum chamber has not been glued to the intercooler pipes yet.

Next I made up the left and right exhaust assemblys and added them to the engine then the turbo charger intakes/wastegates were assembled and dry fitted to the main assembly. The four hoses were next to be made up and fitted to the turbo's.

I chose not to remove the motor to fit the hoses as they can be fitted with the engine in place also I have started to put a bend in the ends of the wires that go inside the hoses as this stops them popping through the hose. Lastly I have left the floor underbodys in place as it will protect those delicate exhaust assemblys. The ruler in the last pic is 150 mm long so gives a good idea of the size of this beast.

More soon

BigGrin Hi All

Last but one pack of this classic car kit. Made up the seat belt harness and then fitted the fuel filler valve, the gear linkage was also added here. Next I added the labels to the steering wheel, made up the telemetry wire and added it to the engine then made up the electrical components adding the wires as stipulated. Lastly made up the instrument panel and added the stickers also the brake balance adjuster was added. More soon.

BigGrin Hi Malc

Thanks for your comments and looking in. Your right the detail on this kit is high but still leaves scope for some upgrades too. My advice would be to start it when your ready, the wait may be a pain but the rewards will be worth it.

BigGrin Hi All

Well here she is finished, this is a kit I have enjoyed building a lot. Highly detailed and at times a chalenge it builds into a very large car the ruler you can see in some of the pictures is 6 inches long to give you an idea on its size.

Whats next I will carry on with the Huracan and maybe start on my MFH kit but that will be a long build due to the prepping of parts.

Regards

AndyCool

PS Now added the missing decal at the front.
