Hi Mark

Unfortunately you will have to get another issue from the DeaGostini shop unless you want to respray the whole body work.

I read this online,

does this look like it could harm the silver paint?

Warm, Soapy Water
Mix a few drops of mild soap, such as dishwashing liquid, with water in a large bowl. The mixture should be fairly sudsy. Soak a soft, clean cloth in a sudsy mixture of soap and water, and apply it to the spot where the Super Glue has spilt. Cover the cloth with plastic food wrap, and tape it down so that the moisture does not evaporate. After three or four hours or more, remove the tape, plastic food wrap and wet cloth. Using a dry soft, clean cloth, dab at the spot where the Super Glue is located. Use a blotting motion, and turn the cloth frequently; do not wipe or rub the spot. The softened glue should come up with the cloth. Repeat this procedure if any Super Glue remains until you can remove all traces of it. Wipe the plastic surface dry with a clean cloth.

It might work on unpainted surfaces but doubt it will work on a painted surface. You can but try it, you can always resort to obtaining a replacement.

You should not have any requirement to use Superglue for your Entex build as its a polystyrene kit, a liquid poly is best used but still needs the same care of application.

I wouldn't let a small mistake like that put you off building the Entex McLaren Mark and after all is said and done, your mistake is on a pre-painted body part whereas the Entex kit is unpainted and any glue mistakes can quite easily be sanded back and resprayed if needs be?

Most people would give their right arm to have a chance to build the Entex McLaren and you have got that chance so grab it with both hands and just think positive, it'll be fine and there is nothing in modelling that can't be fixed with care and patience!! Cool ThumpUp
