Hello again builders,

I recently subscribed to this build (sent through 14/09/2010) and got a letter about a week later (dated 16/09/2010). I still haven't received any kind of post office note telling me to collect or email with a waybill number.

Firstly, does anyone know roughly the timeline for first delivery from the order date? And thereafter, is it EVERY 4 weeks, or could it take longer? I never had the fastest dealings with postage here.

Secondly, and most importantly, has anyone ever experienced hassles with the post office? Is the boxes well packed, or have anyone received issues that have obviously been damaged due to neglegence on the post office's part?

Regards,
Francois

Hi new Matey

Welcome here.. and good luck with your venture.

I have posted these details elsewhere, but having hassles in linking directly to the post.

Anyway, I subbed online on 28/09/2010, received an email reply a few hours later, the letter arrived approx 1 week later.

According to DeAgostini, a waiting period of 28 days will ensue. I contacted their local agents a few days ago. According to them the package was sent from JHB on 2nd October.

I received the notice (dated 06/10/2010) from the P.O. this morning(08/10/2010)[No way-bill number]

Package was not boxed, but in sturdy plastic envelope. All pieces intact, nothing missing or damaged. (The only funny was that Issue 3 magazine seems to have been removed from a binder, i.e. staples torn out leaving unsightly holes, but inconsequential, parts are what are important and instructions are visible.)

I must emphasize though that our P.O. is small and I know the lady at the counter, so I do not expect any problems there.BigGrin

As the waiting period is 28 days, I assume the issues are sent every four weeks. This is being discussed elsewhere on the forum and the consensus is that this is so.Cool

There has been a good fuss about problems experienced by other subscribers in the U.K. , but seems as if DeAgostini has woken up and is offering a better service now.Mellow

Lets hope it continues to be so.BigGrin

Anyway, Good Luck and see you through the window....LOL

Regards
Jacques
