The Douglas DC-3/C47 Dakota is without doubt one of the most famous and most successful designs of aircraft in history, which revolutionized air transport in the 1930s and 1940s.

The DC-3 kit kit comprises of a wooden airframe, aluminium skin panels, diecast metal components photo-etched brass, detailed cockpit and interior, (parts are not pre-painted).

Oooh - that looks nice!! Drool Drool Love

How many packs, what'll it cost and is that an early 'Pan-American' scheme that I see in the first photo?

Would certainly look good in the plain polished aluminium skin I think? Very Cool!!Cool Cool Cool

Which reminds me, I must get on and do some work on my 'Buffalo Airways' DC-3 build!!

At a scale of 1:32 that means the wingspan will be 90.97 cms/35.81 ins (3ft!!) and the length will be 61.34 cms/24.16 ins (2ft!!) - Wow!! that's a good size!! Drool

As far as I know there is only one other 1:32 kit of the DC-3 available and that's the much less detailed and rather basic 'Guillows' Balsa display kit?

Or posibly Dakota ZA947 in its D-Day livery which is currently flown by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF), which can be seen at Air Shows throughout the UK.

In commemoration of the D-Day 70th anniversary in 2014, a “Dakota Fest” was organised, to bring as many as possible back to Normandy for the first time since 1944.
