Your Falcon looks very impressive, Colson. Well done. You certainly set a high standard with all the work that you put into the interior. You must have a real feeling of accomplishment - it's been a long road, after all.

The red LEDs are just set that way. It's fully RGB. Can have any color I want, or fading, flashing, etc. I just like the red.

Its a great look and I have to admit that I am inspired to copy your design (sorry, Im jealous!) I have a gentleman on my staff who is a carpenter and I am seriously thinking about giving him this display table as a potential project. Once again, great job!

Thanks. Copy away. Now I'm just waiting on my glass case to cover the top.

Well, this sucks. I guess Photobucket is going around and blocking peoples photos from being displayed now unless you pay for their service.

SORRY FOLKS. I guess my photos are no longer available.

HOWEVER, if anyone is interested my blog covers all of this as well as my Youtube Channel. Thanks again for the support over the last 2 years.

Little update. I finally got the photo etch engine vent grills from Paragrafix as well as some fans from Shapeways and added them to my Falcon. The vanes of the engine grill had to be tilted downward and the vertical pieces then glued to them.

Those exhaust fans / grills look terrific mate !
Will look to do something similar towards the end of my build . How do they ( Paragrafix & Shapeway components ) compare to other alternatives on the market , i.e. Is there more work involved putting them together ?
Any info / insights greatly appreciated .
Thanks for sharing Chris ,

Cheers Ged Cool

I'm not really familiar with other options, which I know are out there on Shapeways. I've done photo etch on my Falcon because I think it's much cleaner and finer than 3D printing still. I've used 3D printing for some things, but prefer the etch. The etch grills are certainly more work than printed grills. And I also had to cut out the inside of the vents, grind down the ledge for the etch to fit in, and even grind down the fans, as they were too tall to fit inside the vents. But all in all, I think the photos speak for themselves. I think it looks quite nice and clean.
