What a beautiful model and I love all those brass fittings, very nice indeed. Cool

You could say it's a lot of money but when you consider what some paintings sell for (and some are rubbish if you ask me!) and how many man hours were involved in building such a fine model, I think it's a fair price? Mellow

Think they loosely mean the Germans, The sister ship of Mauretania (Lusitania) was torpedoed/sunk by a German U-Boat

What a great shame they sold it when it would (imho) been better to loan it to something like the science museum for display so that more people could then enjoy such a lovely model.
