Hi,
I am looking ahead for paints and need advice on who/where/what to get for "Black Burnishing Fluid" in Perth, Australia. A web search has only got me more more confused!Peter

Hi Peter, I have used two products and both have done an equally good job. One 'Krick Brass Blackener' and the other is 'Blacken-It'. Being hazardous liquids I cannot say what the restrictions would be on receiving such items through the mailing system in Oz. CMB here in the UK do supply the Krick solution and it may be worth emailing them to see if they will supply to your neck of the woods and of course get an idea on the shipping costs.. Link here....

You could also try an Internet search for possible suppliers for both items in your area or perhaps a visit to a local gun smith, most will stock blackening kits that may be suitable.

You may also find this link useful on how to use the 'Blacken-It' solution and results you can expect..

I'll continue to have a look round for you for possible suppliers but in the mean time I hope this helps.

Regards

Alan
