I'm curious why you put primer on the cockpit door that the decal will get attached to? Are you planning to hand paint instead of using decals? I'm very curious what you will be doing with that part and lighting. The paint booth looks great!! You whipped that up in no time, very impressive! --Impatience Current Build: Millennium FalconWish List: Lamborghini Countach LP 500S, Red Bull Racing RB7

Great work on the spray booth... I need to do something similar as I'm new to having to paint items in this fashion. I may try to steal everything you did there And congrats on your goal of quitting smoking, I smoked for a number of years and it's very nice not to have to worry or think about them anymore. Not to mention they now cost 4x what the did when I started as a teenager.

--Impatience Thanks Impatience, I am planing on painting the bulkhead in German grey, I am also thinking about fill in the holes with clear window maker glue once that is done i will flip the bulkhead over and using Tamiya clear blues greens and reds to accent the led lights and decals, seen it done on other models... I am slowly getting better about the smoking, cravings are less each day. I just have to give myself time...

Adam Sounds great! I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out. I've already applied decals, so I won't be making any modifications to that area, but I'm getting REALLY tempted to start making other modifications. thanks guys, here are some more pics, been working on the nav seats and bulkhead, also got the shadowing and hull base coats done, the control yokes and paints and love the way they came out, did a base coat of gun metal and then highlighted the hand grips in rubber black and center mounts in silver and black rubber, gave it great contrast and breaks up the form... as for pics sorry if they are fuzzy and if i repeat photos Adam DwCr13 attached the following image(s):

Started working on the main hold and Cockpit side panels, trying a trick from Tony Fairclough, face book friend, play book with adding a silver base then working my way up in layers from there... may this hold NEVER look this new and clean again!!! DwCr13 attached the following image(s):

Shiny, be curious how this looks once it's done. I could see the silver being a great base. And if you add any scratches later on it would have a very authentic look.
And I may have missed it, what did you do to get the color variations on the back panel of the cockpit? That looks really good so far.

That's the plan, For the cockpit Bulkhead I filled in the holes with clear window maker, once that had dried and set I painted the spaces with Tamiya clear blue and red paints... that pic was taken with a led flash light in a coffee cup to simulate the passage way that comes with the kit, once i get the model led and battery pack going i will re-eval the colors and add more if need be... thanks for the response!!!

One of the guys I am following on facebook and Youtube is building the Bandia sets and when he did the R2D2 he used a silver base and then fine misted the blues for the dome and body. it gives this great effect of metal flake, even though its nots a Falcon build its a great watch for weathering, I watch both Him and Foxx Wolf at model Making Guru https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNlm4xvwuao

I like the way it turned out. Its not as bright when I put a light behind it. I watched the link he has very good ideas and he's funny. Thank you for that. I have following Foxx on his builds.
