BigGrin Hi All

As you are probably aware I am building the Caldercraft Agamemnon and found this book on Amazon second hand for 33p plus postage which cost around £3LOL Blink Crying [ dont bother looking at new as there asking stupid amounts]. I have now recieved the book and its brand new as far as I can see, the picture is of the hardback as received.
The book gives an account of the 30 odd year history of the ship from build to loss and is a good read, containing many black and white prints and the list of battles she was credited with fighting.
There are some Nelsonites on Amazon kicking this book into touch but as a history of the ship I think its a great read with some history of the period leading up to Trafalgar, after and her loss including in the appendices the Admiralty investigation and vindication of her last captain at the circumstances of her loss.
The Wreak has also been found after many years of searching where they found copper plates bearing the arrow symbol, cannon and a ships seal bearing the name of Nelson.Link to wreak information below.

I have this book as well, together with a lot of other naval history books. It is a great read. Have a look for the book " Billy Ruffian" It's about H.M.S. Bellerophon (nicked named the Billy Ruffian by her crew) This ship held a very important prisoner, Napoleon himself when he was being transported on his final journey. This book tells the whole story. A brilliant read.
