After seeing the Meng Bradley and being completely impressed with it I decided to have a look at what else they did. After browsing their website the Leopard 2 instantly jumped out at me, this is one of my favourite looking modern main battle tanks. So I had to have it BigGrin

I dont know if its just me but it does kind of remind me of the Tiger 1.

The kit arrived today from China so thought I would share it all with you.

I have done some searching around the internet and it seems to be regarded as the best Leopard 2 kit produced so far. There is a common complaint that due to the soft plastic and the weight of the turret you need to put in some reinforcing beams in the hull to stop it from sagging, no biggie.

The box for this one is a lot smaller than the Bradley, but then that had all the interior parts too. The box is still full to the brim and I had a job getting it all back in.

There are a total of 13 sprues in the box, most quite big but a couple of small ones too including the one for clear parts.
1 fret of PE and a couple of mirrored stickers for the mirrors.
The turret is one piece with the hull in what appears to be the usual 2 pieces other AFV kits come in. A nice looking sheet of decals and a lenght of string.

The instructions are a really nice booklet, I am guessing by the fact the Bradley is the same that this is the standard Meng instructions. Colour call outs are based on Vallejo Model Colour (70.xxx) and Vallejo Model Air (71.xxx)

I am just as impressed with this kit as I was with their Bradley, the detail looks nice and crisp and I really couldnt find any flash anywhere, will let the pictures do the talking. Sorry Picture Heavy

Oh the wheel masks were purchased seperately.
