So, I got my second shipment finally, and, first thing, I put the pieces aside and go for the magazines. Star Wars lore hound that I am, that's what I reach for first to see what's in there, what I can integrate into my Star Wars RPG game, and so on.
Three of my four magazines were in bad shape. Issue 7 looked like it had been crushed at the bottom (so that the bottom edge had been pushed to the top, making a sort of accordion-style series of folds) with some other abuse, and issues 5 and 6 looked they had just been beaten up--most likely by issue 8, who came out beautifully. They both had some creased corners, they were concave in shape, there were some pages that looked like someone had come by and tried to craw on them with a stylus.
I've already contacted DeAgostini about them, but has anyone else experienced this? I'm curious if it's a hiccup with delivery or if it's something I should be worried about every month.
The magazines, believe it or not, are one of the things that put me over the edge on ordering the kit. I'd like them to remain in good shape for display and smooth storage in the binders.

mine too bro but it ships all the way from China to US warehouse to us. I had some of mine that were in bad shape. I found that if you want to save em put them in plastic :). That's what I am doing now. End of Line.

I'd have to agree with TechOz, It's now Dec. & I just received my 2nd month and was also disappointed with the condition of my mags, all 4 have a slight S curve to their spines, #5 also has dents/damage on the cover. I hope this doesn't continue.

I have contacted USA support about this issue and will report back once I hear back from them.

What I do is that instead of using Model Space provided binders, I punch a pair of holes and put the magazines into a regular fat binder. This way I can fit over 30 in one binder, and the additional advantage is that if I lay the binder on the table, after a day or two the magazines are pressed flat. Any images I post on my personal builds are free to be used and shared under Creative Commons Attribution license, which means you can do what you want with them, on the condition you mention I'm the author.
Happy building :-) http://www.model-space.com/gb/
