When the top is removed to show the interior hold on the prototype, there is a large blank piece in front of the hold. From other drawings I assume this covers the battery pack. Is there anyway we can get some detail carved into the top of that piece? It really breaks the cut-away illusion of the whole thing. Maybe something like what MPC did for their cut-away Falcon model in that spot. I know it's dropped down a bit, level with the top of the bunk or couch there, but just some detail like that on the battery cover (or whatever that blank area is) would really help.

This "cutaway" model kit was not based on official Lucasfilm information at the time of design.

The kit designer, if I recall correctly, was given a great deal of artistic license when he envisioned the interior.

Yeah, but you won't find any official detail for that area, just using it as an idea, could be anything made up, just anything added there would be better than a blank piece.

this is where you as the modeler have creative license to come up with something on your own
