Hi, couldn't resist the temptation so ordered the complete kit

which arrived today, unfortunately when checking the parts the baseplate

from issue 80 was missing. So emailed customer services to ask for

one to be sent. Looking on another forum the same thing happened to

somebody else and they had to send the whole lot back, but in his

replacement kit the baseplate was still missing so I hope they will send

it separately as I want to start building this weekend.

Ian

Update, received an email from customer services

Dear Ian

Thank you for your email.

We do not have part 80 on our system records. Please advise which issue the part comes from in order for us to assist you.

Please do not hesitate to contact us should you require further assistance.

Yours sincerely,

Bongi

Customer Care

Sent a reply it's from Pack 24. So hopefully I'll get a replacement soon.

Ian.

Hi Andy, I'm really looking forward to the build, but not sure

if I should start it now or wait to see if I need to send it back

because of the missing part in issue 80.

Hi Ian

I agree its not great but CS should soon have a replacement on the way to you Luckily you wont need the tank till your a good half way through the build, I also cant see how part 80 was missed as it comes in its own packaging to protect it and being one piece is hard not to see it. With a bit of luck both will be resolved quickly.

Regards

Andy.

Hi Andy,

So do you think it'll be ok to start building and cs won't ask for the whole kit back.

BigGrin Hi Ian

I would wait until CS confirms that they will be sending the replacement parts and what will be done with the parts you have. I cant see the reason for sending the lot back as its not needed but best to wait until confirmed. I will check and get back to you.

Regards

Andy

BigGrin Hi Ian

There will be no need to send back the entire pack so start building.

If you e-mail the address below giving your account number and name/address detail and the stage numbers of the missing and damaged parts,

modelspace@deagostini.co.uk

Hope this helps and enjoy this great build.

BigGrin Hi Ian

Nice start, by the way that pack of grease just use it to lubricate the shocks as directed and dont use it on the rubber tyres as mentioned in the instructions instead use a silicon oil to dress the tyres if your going to do that.

Hi Al,

thanks for looking in. I'm really enjoying this build, the parts

are really going together smoothly.

As a footnote, received an e-mail from CS, pack 24 is out of stock

and is on back order, no word on the petrol tank yet but it's only been

a couple of days. Build will slow down a bit now I'm back at work

and not being able to get good pictures in poor light with the flash on

camera.

Regards Ian.BigGrin
