I have been a subscriber sine January and have not yet seen reference to a follow me mode in any of the accompanying magazines. Unless there is an update before the subscription ends, I would have to assume at the moment that there is no plan to include this functionality.

Notwithstanding this feature omission, I would (in my own experience) have to advise that you seek an alternative route in to drone ownership. This build is, without any doubt, the poorest executed and supported partwork that I have ever subscribed to with errors occurring since day 1 both in packaging and printing. CS has been non-existent and the only thing that stops me cancelling immediately is that I have now committed half of the cost of the subscription so I have to hold out in the hope that the ongoing issue of incorrect parts is resolved so that my cash isn't wasted.

Just my opinion but regrettably based on fact.

The Skyrider does not have the latest automation modes (follow me,orbit etc...) If you want these modes you are better off buying a kit and building it to exactly what you want. My work colleague built a better quad copter with all the extras for around £200.

It really depends on what you want out of a quadcopter.

The main thing the Skyrider has going for it is that it is a unique build.

Mekon is right, this subscription has been plagued with problems which has made people feel a bit sour about the whole thing.

I also have to say though that Tomick has been great at helping rectify these issues.

Quad copters are a funny thing because different people want them for different reasons. For example I know people that have no experience or real interest in model flying at all but want one just for the photo opportunities.

I myself having flown single bladed copters for a number of years though quad copters were quite tame and boring as I was looking at them from the flying experience perspective.

After having had a few quad copters (I currently fly the Ethos FPV) I find them as enjoyable to fly as single blades and much harder to crash. They also make great platforms for carrying additional equipment.

For me what I want out of the Skyrider is the ability to fly around with a unique looking model and record my flights at the same time.

So I think it will do what I want it to do.

The extra modes that other quad copters are appearing with are cool and its a shame it does not have them but for me it is not a deal breaker.
