Ooh I will be watching this with interest. Are you doing it as a winter scene after the battle of the Bulge or after the end of the war?

I love snowy dioramas, but it is so hard to get the snow to look good-At least in my hands

Hi Carl think I'll aim for spring of 1945 towards end of war.so fragmented units together is a possibility then.so don't have to worry bout vehicle markings to much.not really no how to do snow.but save at for another day.cheers mick.BigGrin BigGrin

Hi all thanks for every one who left comments, they much appreciated. Anyhow done bit more on the 88.gun bin painted it's basic grey colour.then I applied a very thin black wash all over it to dirty it up a bit.and then dry brushed to bring out some detail.be some dirt and rust applied next.an pick few bits out how I feel bout it.think ill be doing a mud road on diarama, but ill do the vehicles mud, when set them on road.and a start to the bogies.finding I really enjoy the etch.but need to invest in bender, make life easier than doin it with various knife blades.that it for now.cheers and happy moddelling mick. Really coming along nicely Mck!

I will echo Andy's comment, a good etch folding tool is invaluable. I have this one http://www.scalemodelsho...ld-the-small-shop.html, it's a little pricey but big enough to cover all eventualities. There re smaller ones available on the same site. I wouldn't be without mine now.
