I'm finding as I lay planks amid ship on the hull that toward the bow at frames 13 & 14 I have to tilt, or twist, the planks a little to rest them on the said frames. I notice that as I work forward the natural thing for the front of the plank to do is start rising over the plank above. Do I need to cut the plank at this point and a dropper or a stealer? I have built fr13 & 14 up as required.

Hi Sinbad, can you tell me what issue/stage you are at, that would help and so would a pic if possible. Where planks want to rise up over a previously laid plank this would indicate the plank being laid needs to be tapered. If you see the taper has to be more than half the width of the plank then a dropper needs to be fitted. How to taper and add dropper planks is covered very well in the instructions... .. As for twists in the planks, there are areas of the ship where planks do need to have a slight twist hence why I'm asking for a pic or an indication as to where you are at..... .. Hope this helps. Regards Alan
