I grew up in a forces background with most of my time spent in Germany, during this time I have got very used to seeing the Phantoms flying, especially when dad was based at RAF Wildenrath.

I have always been a fan of the Phantom, and despite their size and for being known as 'smokers' I still find them a beautiful aircraft.

When this came up at a good price (£37) I decided I would add it to my stash.

I am thinking this might be my 2016 build of the year entry which will aslo be my first aircraft build too. Ideally I would have preferred a British F4 however I wasnt really tempted by the price of them for my for first winged build.

I will post some more pictures soon but will just leave these here to tempt you.

The box fills my cutting mat length ways which is A2 in size.

BigGrin Hi Dave

Looks a great model, the Eduard kits are nice and the extra's are a bonus too, they do build into nice kits the only gripe I could say is that a few more locator pins would help in the assembly at times.

Well I promised some more photos, and here they are BigGrin

I have to agree with Andy that this does look like a very nice kit albeit with some flash here and there, nothing major and nothing a quick once over with a file will sort out.

There is lots of detail and rivets everywhere that should be very nice once a wash has been applied, certainly enough rivets to keep a counter busy for a while.

Brass and resin parts included which from what I can gather is standard practice in these Eduard kits.

Still toying with the idea of making this my 2016 build of the year entry

Resin Parts

I've got the ltd edition f14 Dangerzone eduard kit. And the brassin detail set certainly looks better than the kit parts.
Cant wait for your build to start.
