Not done much of anything since my last post.
Tried a bit of plastic modelling but that ended in a complete disaster!!!!!
But with a lot of motivation from a very good friend I've restarted the Victory.
I've finished the launch and made a start on the pinnace. I'm also nearing completion of the Victory's planking, photos to follow.

More work carried out.
The hull has been planked and sanded and work begun on the stern gallery.
I've used the enhancement kit supplied by MWG.
I had to use his tutorial as I haven't got the instruction sheet.
I've also started on the port side wales.

Managed to get the upper gun deck planked after 2 attempts!
Managed to make the basic mistake of using a permanent marker to edge the deck planks and then use a spirit based varnish. I got a pretty marble effect deck.
After ripping it out I replaced it with 1mm thick maple strip purchased from Cornwall Model Boats. I'm now debating whether to use the same material for the rest of the decks.
The stem reinforcements are near completion as are the first 8 28lb guns. Next is to rig the guns.

Hi Jural!
Nice build you have there.

Just a heads-up: Did you test-fit the stem decorations? The space between the two wood-profiles looks a bit narrow.

Keep up the good work!
Greetings,
Walter

A bit slow on the shipbuilding front what with Christmas and spending a lot of time in Essex, but manage to fit in a bit of construction work when I'm home.
I've spent most of my modelling time copper tiling the hull which, I'm relieved to say, is complete, just the rudder to hang.
I spent all day yesterday rigging 2 of the guns, only to find I'd done them wrongCursingCrying . Must admit though it was easier removing the rigging than it was to fit it Huh
Here are few pics of the progress so far
