Hi,
I have just received issue 5 of HMS Surprise, the instructions go into the lower planking.
The picture shows a plank approx. half way between upper planking and keel.
How do you determine the position of this plank?
Thanks for any help.

wilf, don't laugh, but I use a bit of string, but if you have a cloth tape measure, even better, start at the bow 2nd.rib place measure at the upper last plank, over the rib and down to the keel, what ever the measurement, half it and mark the rib, same with the stern rib, then mark all the other ribs same way. good luck. Hi Wilfy Did you get a copy of the planking book that I gave people. If not let me know, it explains in that the easiest way to mark out for your first plank. Chris... On the bench 1/350 Revell Tirpitz Platinum Edition (Pontos PE and Wooden deck) plus extra Eduard PE set and extra MK1 door sets.
