Excellent work Graeme. This is a kit that I keep promising myself I will buy one day, though as yet I haven't. Watching your build just makes it even more certain that I will buy and build my own - very well done. ThumpUp

Thanks for looking in and the comments. The detail is great and the fit of the parts is second to none, from the smallest to the largest there have been zero problems with fit.

Now to start the wings. First the radiator grills were made. Each radiator consisted of three parts, one plastic and two etch grills. The inside of the plastic part was painted before fitting the etch, Pic.72. Once assembled the whole grill was painted.

The central wing section was assembled and then painted, Pics.73 & 74.

Pics 75 & 76 shows one of the lower wing sections with the radiator grills fitted and the wheel bay areas painted. Pic.77 shows the central section with the two lower outer sections and Pics 78 & 79 shows the sections screwed together.

The next job is to fit the upper sections of the wings, assemble the wheels and fit the engine nacelles to the wings.

Thanks for looking in and the positive comments.

Just a short update. The upper wing sections have been fitted, along with the aeriolons and wing tips. Pic 80 shows the under surface and Pic 81 the upper.

Next was to assemble the wheels. Pic 82 shows the individual parts for one wheel and Pic 83 the assembled wheel and lower struts.

Another brief update. The wheels and lower struts were painted and assembled, then fitted to the upper strut sections in the nacelles, Pic 84. The nacelles were then fitted to the main wings, Pics 85 & 86.
